So far so good!
Well, there are only a few days to go before I depart on my walk.
I can say that without the help and support of the committee (who were all coerced into their roles) that I really don't think I would have got this far!
I do hope when this is all over I will still have them as friends and not driven them all to move or change their phone numbers or worse - have to visit them in a rehab clinic.
The support we had from the Launch Night lifted my spirits (not just in the glass). Thankfully, no one has died from my B.B.Q ... as yet.
I am now getting focused on the walk - my training has been ongoing for a while now, and is starting to take effect - I now sleep in till 9am whereas I used to get up at 6am.
After a day of walking I can now polish off 8 pints without trouble! This should be a great help when it comes to socialising in the pub after a days walk and help me to exaggerate my days achievement, lifting my image to my fellow drinkers who will then hopefully contribute more of their hard earned money.
I wanted to remind you all that you can print off my poster and display it in windows, shops, libraries and other public places in order to raise awareness of the walk, and to show your own support. The poster can be downloaded here.
In other good news, I was recently interviewed with Radio Jackie about the walk, and Radio Oxford are interested in doing regular updates on my progress! Fantastic!
Thanks again for your continued support, and I will post again soon.
